Lower parpadial blepharoplasty

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty or also called lower blepharoplasty is a surgery that aims to improve the cosmetics of the lower eyelid.

With this surgery, the fat bags and furrows of the lower eyelids are corrected, as well as laxity, folds and wrinkles, which generates satisfactory results in the aesthetics of the eyelid.

Why is it done?

Its main objective is to improve the aesthetics of the lower eyelid by correcting fat bags, furrows, laxity, folds and wrinkles.

What does it consist of?

The surgeon makes a small cut in the lower eyelid, under the eyelashes in the natural crease of the eye or inside the lower eyelid. After that, remove or adjust the excess fat, muscle and sagging skin and then close the cut.

What can I expect from this surgery?

Discomfort such as blurred vision, watery eyes, sensitivity to light, double vision or numb and/or swollen eyelids may occur for a time.

Care after surgery

The following is recommended:

    Use eye drops or ointments, prescribed by the specialist in advance. Place ice packs on the eyes for approx. 15 minutes for every hour spent at night after surgery. Gradually, the next day, place them 4 to 5 times throughout the day. Wear dark sunglasses to protect the skin of your eyelids from the sun and wind. Sleep with your head elevated above chest level for a few days.

Upper parp blepharoplasty

This is a surgery whose main purpose is to improve the appearance of the upper eyelid by removing excess skin from the upper eyelids, which gives the patient a younger and more rested appearance. It also aims to eliminate visual fatigue and the feeling of heaviness of the upper eyelid.

Why is it done?

Its objective is to improve the appearance of the upper eyelid when there is excess skin. Furthermore, for patients who feel eyelid heaviness or visual fatigue due to this excess, this procedure can provide noticeable improvement.

  • What does it consist of?

    For this procedure, the surgeon applies local anesthesia to the area and removes a portion of skin, which may or may not have part of the orbicularis muscle. When performing the removal, the scar coincides with the crease of the eyelid, which is located between 7 and 10 mm from its edge.

  • Who are candidates?

  • What can I expect from this surgery?

    Inflammation may occur because the eyelid does not close completely, but it is a temporary condition that usually disappears after some time. Temporary bruising may also occur in the first few days of surgery.

Care after surgery

The following is recommended:

    Put some plasters on the eyelid to limit its mobility and subsequent consequences. The specialist doctor will provide the patient with the best option for this case. Sleep with your head slightly raised for at least the first week to reduce edema. Apply anti-inflammatory drops and ointments prescribed in advance by the specialist to the cornea. This is done to protect the cornea from drying out.

Care after surgery

The following is recommended:

    Use cold compresses to reduce swelling and bruising. Avoid smoking or close proximity to tobacco smoke for 2-4 weeks before and after your Rhytidectomy, as this increases the risk of skin death and will delay healing.

Rhinoplasty

It is a plastic surgery procedure by which the shape of the nose is modified, it can change the size, the shape of the tip, the thickness of the nostrils, the curvature of the septum, the angle between the nose and the upper lip.

What does it consist of?

The operation is performed under general anesthesia in most cases, but local anesthesia or sedation can also be applied.

The surgeon cuts and shapes the bones and cartilage of the nose to achieve the desired shape. Incisions can also be made at the base of the nostrils to carry out the procedure successfully.

What can I expect from this surgery?

At the end of the procedure, which lasts between 1 to 2 hours, a bandage will be placed on your nose and, as appropriate, a splint or plastic splint or plaster will also be placed on it to maintain the new shape of the nose.

Dressings will also be applied inside your nose to stop bleeding and swelling. These dressings will be removed after two days and the splint after the first week.

Bruising and swelling will be seen in the nose and around the eyes, accompanied by nose and headache pain. The patient will also experience nasal congestion or trouble breathing for a short period of time.

Care after surgery

The following is recommended:

    Get enough rest and sleep. Sleep with your head elevated for the first few days after your procedure. Try to walk every day and gradually increase the distance. Avoid activities such as riding a bicycle, motorcycle, lifting heavy things or exercising for approximately 15 days after your operation. Check with your doctor when you can drive again. Do not rub your nose for 8 weeks. Use sunscreen on the area.
